Does my Samsung Galaxy S5 have warranty?

i bought my Samsung Galaxy 5S in october 2015. It broke recently for no apparent reason. The screen went bright blue then wouldn't turn off. I returned to Best Buy where I bought it and they said there was nothing I could do, so I ended up buying a new S7. My question is, since it's been less than a year since I got it, is there a warranty I should've asked about?
