I'm on my 4th Hydro, although this one is Hydro Shore the previous 3 were Hydro Air, and I fought with this issue for months. I've yet to get it to work on any Hydro. I recall reading somewhere that Kyocera Hydro is "blocked" from going into recovery somehow, but I have no idea if that is true. I wouldn't think that would make sense? I just know I am really frustrated that these phones have issues doing something so simple.
- Turn off your phone.
- Press and hold the Volume Down and Power button for a couple of seconds.
- Release held keys as soon as the Recovery Mode appears on the screen.

You got me. I've been trying for six hours to get it. Tried every combination I've seen and timed it differently. Nothing. I'm starting to wonder if Recovery Mode is some mythical place.
