The Smart 3 is a little too underpowered

from Pocket Gamer
The lack of RAM is the biggest problem here. A single-core processor might seem archaic, but when the phone isn't doing too much in the background it just about manages to tick over. It's only when you multitask that the problems show. Despite the performance issues, you shouldn't dismiss the Vodafone Smart 3 out of hand. It's cheap, it's functional, it has decent battery life, and it has a couple of nice features besides. Just don't go expecting anything too fancy, or you'll quickly wish you'd spent a bit more... It has enough grunt to get the basics done with ease

from TrustedReviews
The Vodafone Smart 3 is a strong budget Android phone and one of the best network branded handsets we’ve seen in a while. Its features won’t set the world alight, but it has enough grunt to get the basics done with ease. The Vodafone Smart 3 is a strong buy, and at just £90 on a PAYG basis will do your wallet no harm, either... Full review

For someone upgrading from the S3 there doesn’t seem much point

from Coolsmartphone
There is no doubt that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is an excellent smartphone but for someone upgrading from the S3 there doesn’t seem much point. Of course you have a set of improved specifications, but a lot of the new software features on the device will eventually make their way to older handsets. Personally I have decided to wait and see what the Galaxy Note 3 is like as I fancy a larger screen size, but for those that own the Galaxy S2 or any other older smartphone the Galaxy S4 will be a perfect device to own... Pocket-lint

Cheap, uncomplicated, decent design, well-aimed for its market

from Pocket-lint

For £90 there's really not a lot here to dislike. As always with cheaper camera phones, the megapixel count is irrelevant and the photos always look a bit blurred and lack fine detail. The Smart is far from the worst offender here though, and as always these photos will, for the most part, look fine on social media sites and the like.

As a phone, it's a little small for our hands, but it's really aimed at teenagers and people who haven't spent the last decade eating at press lunches and drinking beer at product launches. But even our sausage fingers managed, so we're confident... Full review
