Worst. Phone. Ever.

If you do so much as send a single text message it will be dead within the hour (and that's when it's only been taken off the charger two hours ago!) I rarely use the camera because the pictures don't turn out well at all. And to top it all off... it gets horrible reception. Do NOT buy this phone! Less

Anyone want to sell their Audiovox 8920 from Telus?

Hey, I bought my audiovox 8920 from Telus and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, it fell out of my vehicle and my puppy got a hold of it and chewed it up only a few months after getting my phone. If anyone has this sell phone and would like to sell it I would love to buy it for parts so that I can use my phone again. Thanks!

Hello. My purpose here is to inform you how badly this phone sucks. Pros, from most significant to least: HAHAHA. Cons, from most significant to least: 1) DISGUSTING BATTERY LIFE. I have to charge it every night, which is fine by me. But once I unplug it in the morning, it loses one of its four battery life bars! When I make my first call of the day (which spans no more than one minute), it continues to drain until there is only one bar remaining! If I did not bring the charger with me to work, the phone would be dead by my lunch break! 2) Lousy reception. I understand that this could be due to: - the shittiness of the phone itself - my service provider - my location at the time of the phone call. However, I have several family members, peers, and friends who use the same service provider that I do, IN the same location I have been in, and they receive great reception. 3) The date and time display on the interior of the phone is huge, obstructing my display picture. 4) Its physical appearance is hardly sexy. Anwyay, cellular phones are supposed to be convenient. Some people use them for lengthy, personal conversations, others use cellular phones for business use only, and few people use them strictly for emergencies. How convenient is this piece of junk if I am about to die, and I cannot even dial "911" because "Warning! Battery life low!" flashes incessantly and does not allow me to make that one call? This phone sucks. Hot dickings. Less

I hate this phone now

Purchased this phone in Nov. 2004 just after it came on the market. Up until last night I loved this phone. Last night the phone up and stopped working. Absolutely nothing can be done except sending off for repairs that will cost lots of $$$

Camera is Meeehh, battery life horrible.

I'm not that picky about cell phones actually, so whether it takes beautiful pics or not I don't care. That being said, pics were better it seemed on my old audiovox. I upgraded to this phone because my old ribbon cable broke, and the pics are nothign to write home about. Horrible speaker phone, no cool ringtones and the worst battery life I've ever experienced with any electronic piece of equipment I've ever owned. I read this review board too late, wish I caught it earlier. What good is a phone if it dies 8 hours after a full charge. I am always in the middle of a conversation when it dies. Steer way way clear IMO. Just waiting for the ribbon cable to break in the phone as well. Will Telus mobility help me fix this problem, highly unlikely lol. Less
It''s just fine if you use it as a cell phone, it still works, but I don''t think it''s the right phone for taking pictures even it has 1.3mp with flash. ok phone

this phone is quit impressive with its 1.3 mega pixels camera is sharp big screen battery life not bad would recommend it if you want good reception and camera but speakerphone what speakerphone?

I wouldn''t recommend this phone

I would strongly recommend not buying this phone. I purchased it about 3 weeks ago. 3 days after I got it I had to go back to get another battery. 10 days after I got it I had to go back and get another phone, and today 3 weeks after I bought it I had to go back and get yet another phone. They wouldn''t give me a different phone brand so I am stuck with this garbage. In 10 days I talked on it for 1 hour and 29 minutes and I had to charge it 12 times!!! The screen on the outside shuts off and has black lines going through it, the camera won''t turn on most times, sometimes it won''t charge, then when it does you can unplug it from the charger and it will continue to charge on its own for about half an hour, also the wallpaper can magically change on its own. I wish I never got this phone. Less

If you want this for the camera or speakphone...look elsewhere!

This phone is great if you are looking to use it as a phone. If you are thinking you can save some dough by getting this instead of a dig. camera you'll be sorry. You have to take the photo quality with a grain of salt--its not even close to spectacular ,pics are too dark and even with the image enhancement features the pics still look bad. The speakerphone does not exist! I don't care what Audiovox says--apparently the other person can hear you just fine but even on the highest volume the caller sounds muffled and barely audible. Reception and call clarity is really good. The menu features are excellent. Battery life is moderatly poor--if you take pics you gotta charge it often but if not then you don't need to charge as much. Less
