I am very late in reviewing the Blackberry 7750. But be forewarned: the 7750 cannot support web browsing! It can only support email service. I just found this out today after talking with a Verizon representative in Seal Beach, CA. I've been using the phone and email features for about one year and they're good, but when I first wanted to find out about getting web browsing on my 7750 about 6 months ago, another, much less knowledgable, and much less competent Verizon rep in Torrance, CA told me that I couldn't have that service because I didn't have a corporate account (I'm on my wife's family plan). Well, wrong. One week ago, I went back to Verizon in Torrance to see if I could upgrade to a regular phone because the $45.00 extra I've been paying to Verizon every month is just going for email capability. Well, I can check my emails for free on my computer. Found out that I have to wait until March 2006. Fine. I decide to ask the Verizon rep about web browsing capability on my 7750. He didn't know, so he checked with another rep who told me that I had to go to RIM's website, download the browser software from there and update my 7750's OS. Well, wrong. There wasn't any web browser software that I could see on RIM's website, but there sure is a LOT of other, programmer related software. I tell a co-worker about all of this and he said that the OS software could be found at Verizon's website. Correct! So, this morning I downloaded the software and updated the OS on my Blackberry 7750 with the anticipation of having the ability to browse the web in mere minutes. Well, wrong. After almost one hour of installation time, there was no web browser icon on my 7750. That's when I decided to go back to Verizon (this time in Seal Beach, CA) where I found out that the 7750 is not even capable of web browsing! Folks, I wasted around $500.00 this past year on an email feature on my Blackberry 7750 that never even had the capability to browse the web. Also, the 7750 doesn't have a speakerphone; very annoying! As soon as I can upgrade I'm losing this piece of junk and getting a flip phone that can browse the web, has a speakerphone and doesn't feel like a brick against my head when I'm on a call. Bottom line for RIM: I am very disappointed and perplexed that they would even manufacture a Blackberry that can't browse the web. One word about Verizon: I still prefer Verizon because of their overall satisfactory customer service, but be careful with some of their reps - the incompetent ones will lead you astray and ultimately leave you feeling very dissatisfied. The knowledgable reps are keepers ... IF you can find one, that is. Less

Works OK

I am still looking for the "perfect" PDA for phone, email and Internet. A POP3 email connection would be much better for this device rather than coming via a Verizon website. In addition, a web browser would be a great addition. And the documentation could stand a lot of improvement. As I said, it w...More

Very Nice!

I like it!

Here's hoping you have a BES

The phone itself is great, no problems so far. (though I sugest using a headset). I have heard that telus has a free BES gateway, but being a verizon customer I dont know. Great phone, just make sure either your work or your provider has the required blackberry server.
