CrackBerry

Come for the battery, stay for the durability

from CrackBerry

Motion ushers in this idea of a phone that's life proof - or built for everyday REAL life. I totally buy into this. Performance-wise, the Motion feels a little snappier than the KEYone despite the specs being largely the same. For price conscious consumers and businesses, the Motion delivers well on price.

The BlackBerry Motion has performance that can get you through the day, stunning battery life, and top-notch security, but it’s far too expensive.

Know Your Mobile

2017's surprise gem

from Know Your Mobile

At the end of the day, reviews are personal opinion, and in my opinion the BlackBerry Motion is a fantastic little handset with a great user experience. It's not perfect, but I've found it one of the most compelling smartphone experiences in a long while.

A business-class mid-ranger with excellent battery life

from ZDNet

The BlackBerry Motion is a solid mid-range Android handset with some handy features aimed at business users -- at a time when handsets are explicitly targeting that market.

Handset for the masses, much more so than the earlier BlackBerry KeyOne

Its privacy, productivity and security additions may not be essential, but they do feel like worthwhile additions that don’t ruin the usability of Android. And in prioritising battery life over an ultra-slight frame, BlackBerry has produced a real work horse phone.

Solid design, good security and excellent battery life

The BlackBerry Motion proves a difficult device to rate. It’s too big, and there’s not much to tempt a casual smartphone buyer here aside from outstanding battery life. It is too austere and clunky even in comparison to the KeyOne, and won’t stand out in the £400 price bracket – a price hangover from the premium leanings of the BlackBerry name.

The Motion might not be the sexiest smartphone around, but you get a lot for your £399. That feature-packed software is the best part, with a strong emphasis on security and staying organised, while the incredible battery life won’t leave you in the lurch. If only the camera were more capable and the processor a little nippier, we’d have no complaints at all.

Daylight shots come packed with detail, looking good no matter how big the screen you view them on. As far as simple home movies go, the Motion captures detailed footage with respectable results. You’ll notice the occasional issue such as lens flare popping up in bright conditions, although we’re more troubled by the lack of proper image stabilisation. The 8-megapixel camera housed around the front of the BlackBerry Motion does a respectable job of taking selfies.

Pocket-lint

Big, bold boss of business

from Pocket-lint

It's big, solid and has a touch of restrained class about it. BlackBerry is clearly trying to ensure it's made a touchscreen phone with all the perks business-types would expect from a BlackBerry, while being well-enough equipped to attract the average consumer.
