This is the second phone I have had, and even though both my phones were bad, this was worse. You cannot set songs as a ringtone, which is quite sad. There is no zoom on the camera either. The only pro is it looks cool. It is a very simple phone...if you ever want a better phone, you should just buy it and keep it instead of suffering 2 years like I have. If you want something cheap and simple to keep, I would probably still not recommend this... Less

i like this phone but,

all around a good phone except i cant put my own music for ringtones. i am not a texter but if i were i would not like it because of the small keypad. i am somewhat of hacker but i cannot hack this phone : ( and thats all i got.

I've had this phone for a year, and I would get another one. It's a cell phone, and my only phone. I also use some normal features like alarm, notepad, calender, etc. If I have an emergency, I can go online for basic pages. It's not an iPhone, it's not a digital camera, and I didn't expect it to be any of that. Plus, it was only $10, anyway. The Good: The slider still works great. The buttons still work great. It's very scratch-resistant. It's been drop-resistant so far. Call clarity is very good, even speaker phone. Strong antenna. Drops calls infrequently. Bright screen. Keys are very customizable. The Not-So-Good: Of course the camera is only 1.3MP, I believe. There's not much in-phone memory. Each note on the notepad can only be short. Battery life isn't so hot, even for me. It takes a long time to switch networks. I haven't been able to find a way to email a pic off the phone...? Needs an adapter for earphones (but I don't use that feature.) Many of the above negatives are small inconvenient points to me, but the worst problem: it sometimes says it's on network, but it's not. I miss all incoming calls and texts until I try to use the phone and can't connect. Sometimes it does this three times a week, then it won't for 2 months. The only way to reset it when it does this is to remove the battery. I haven't seen anyone else complain about this, so maybe it's just my phone. BTW, all other features will work while this is going on, so I don't miss my alarms and reminders, thankfully. Overall, I took a chance on it when I could only find few reviews on it. I think it was a fairly new model then? But I haven't regretted it, and I'm pretty picky! Less

watch for data use

Front OK button is connected to the browser and it cannot be changed. It's very easy to hit the button to get connected and get charged for data. Don't buy this phone if you are not going to sign up for unlimited data.

Solid choice for those who want their cell phones to be a cell phone

Not the perfect phone, but pretty darn good. That is, if you're looking for your cell phone to be, well, a phone and not a camera or a way to send 100 text messages a day. Not the perfect phone, but pretty darn good. That is, if you're looking for your cell phone to be, well, a phone and not a camera or a way to send 100 text messages a day. I should preface this review to say that I had to return the first phone. The normal (ear) speakers wouldn't work. Second unit works fine! First of all, it's sturdy. Not that I've dropped it, but if I did, I think the chance of survival would be good. After about 6 months usage, I haven't had any problems with the slider. The reception has been very good. I don't think I've had a dropped call yet! Or not one caused by my phone, at least. And the battery seems to last. Mind you, I'm not a big talker ... maybe an hour a week. But I can keep the phone charged up 5-7 days. Speaking of charging, there's a little rubber gizmo that you need to push aside to charge the phone. Right from the start I was afraid it would come loose and get lost. And, sighs, it recently did that. Also, the instructions say never to remove the connector to the phone while the plugged into the outlet. So, yeah, you're supposed to unplug it at the outlet first and then remove the connector. (Shakes head ... don't get it.) The camera is unimpressive. No zoom feature. But I don't expect my phone to be a camera. It's not the most intuitive phone, nor does it have a good users manual. For example, if you wanted to learn about how to use the camera you'd have to look in the index for "Take a Picture" instead of "Camera." And quite a few features aren't discussed. I'm still trying to figure out what causes it to go into multimode, and what to do to get it out of it. (After a while it just goes away. Maybe that's all that can be done.) At the store, the tech showed me this cool feature of how to copy the phone numbers to the SIM card. Do you think those instructions were in the manual? Puh-lease! The menus are not very intuitive; by luck I'll find things like "tip calculator" or "tape recorder" .... but when I try to find it later, it's not where I'd expect it to be. As much as I bellyache about the phone, I like it overall. Again, if you are looking for a solid, reliable phone with good reception and decent battery, this will do the job nicely. Less

Like others, I kept getting a playback error when using the music player on this phone. ATT was no help, other than replacing the device, but the error continued. I may have found a solution. All my music was copied from CD to my computer then synced to the phone, nothing downloaded from the internet. The following appears to have worked. I connected the phone to my computer and formatted the SD card. I burned new music files to the computer WITHOUT getting info from the internet. (Doing that appears to add other hidden data files not supported by the device.) Some track info translated, others had to be edited. Without the internet connection, the mp3 and wma files seem to work okay. One album on the phone contained duplicate tracks. I deleted them from the phone using Windows Media Player 10 disconnected the phone and rebooted the it by removing the battery. When the battery was replaced, the albums updated and the player has been working fine. I cannot guarantee this fix, but it seems to be working for me, after three calls to ATT and a replacement phone. Good luck with yours. I upgraded to this phone mainly for the music player. The camera is mediocre, but I'll be satisfied with everything else if the music plays. Less

Hello All, I think I may have a solution for the ‘Playback Error’ problem with the LG CF360. Below, I have put the steps that caused my phone to have the error and then the steps I took to get rid of the error. Firstly, my CF 360 worked well for hours of playing songs without any error. Then, after I did the following steps, the error happened over and over. • I pushed a mp3 ring tone via blue tooth to the phone with the SD card in. It saved the ring tone in the SD card, but I wanted it on the phone in case the card was out, it would still ring. • I took out the SD card and pushed the same file to the phone, so it would save on the phone and not the SD card. • I also pushed another mp3 to the phone. Then, the “Playback error” happened intermittently every few minutes. This may have been caused by either 1. The phone’s library of mp3’s being corrupted because of the same file in two locations, or 2. The phone’s physical memory getting too low to effectively play music. Here are the steps I took that got rid of the error. • Delete the duplicate mp3 from the SD card • Move all music mp3’s to the SD card and off of the phone. • Move some pictures to the SD and off of the phone. • Shut off phone • Take out SD card. • Turn on phone and try to play a playlist of songs that were on the SD card (causes the phone not find the file and update the music library) • Put in SD card while the phone is on. (causes the phone to re-build the music library). After I did this, I have played mp3’s for hours without any errors at all, just like before. Either I had too much stuff on the phone or the music library was not correct causing the crash. I hope it helps. Mike G

I'm still evaluating this phone

I've had this phone for about a week so I haven't fully evaluated it yet. I'm currently buying the micro usb cable and memory card so I can transfer ringtones. Note: Don't let AT&T sucker you into getting their micro usb cable for this phone. Any USB 2.0 Cable, A Male to Micro B Male Cable should work. This phone replace a Motorola RAZR.

I don't like LG anymore

T9 mode sucks, instead of learning the words as you type, you have to type them in the dictionary. It thinks instead of you, not with you, and it thinks wrong, way wrong. And it does not learn words even if you enter them in dictionary.

I purchased this phone from AT&T in August. The music player didn't work correctly and frequently froze the phone with a "Playback Error." Only fix was to remove the battery and reboot. AT&T was very good about replacing the phone, but the 2nd and 3rd phones I received had the same problem. I discussed with LG and they were no help at all. AT&T was very good and replaced it with the LG Xenon. This is a far superior phone - the MP3 playback is awesome and it actually works. Don't waste your time or money with the CF360 - buy the LG Xenon instead. The cell phone quality is amazing and the slide out keypad is good for email and texting (if you are into that). I just wanted a good cell phone with a good MP3 player and the Xenon is outstanding in that regard Less
