This isn't just another mid-range phone with no personality, it's a well-priced and specced handset with unique appeal; nowhere else will you get a 21:9 aspect ratio paired with a hole-punch front-facing camera. It is fast, has tons of storage, the new tall and narrow format is easy to get used to, it’s comfortable for one-handed use, and its Night Vision photos turn out surprisingly great. And if those are your priorities, the Moto One Vision delivers.

The Motorola One Vision may not have the wow factor of competing mid-range flagships, but from what I’ve seen so far it’s a stellar smartphone that gets nearly all the fundamentals right. Early testing suggests the camera isn’t a flagship killer, but it certainly feels cut above what you’ll find on most other sub-£300 Android phones. This, plus the inherent benefits of Android One, makes the Motorola One Vision feel like it could be one of the best mid-range handsets to the arrive this year.

The Motorola One Vision has what it takes to be a good mid-ranger and thanks to the cinematic screen and its punch-hole selfie shooter - the Vision can stand out in a crowd. Digging deeper, we found also the optical image stabilization helps the Vision to deliver one of the best low-light photos in this class, too. Unfortunately, the battery life is below average, while punch-hole's size is both an eyesore and on occasion an obstacle to the cinematic immersion. With those two the purchasing decision becomes much harder and very depended on how keen you are on stock Android.
