Great phone, too bad I can't find a new one

I've had this phone for over 3 years, and really liked it. I've had some issues with it, but I do like the phone a lot. I only started having problems with it this year - the soft keys on the side of the phone (which also controls the volume) doesn't work. The alarm clock has to be set every day (you can't set it just once so the alarm goes off every day at a certain time like you'd use an alarm clock), which is kind of annoying. I don't want to switch phones but am afraid I don't have a choice. Less

v400 GMS - Great phone !

I've had this phone for over three years and used worldwide. Reliable, durable with great reception. Still using original battery. Highly recommend.

Dead after 2 years

from Amazon
The buttons on the side frequently sounds when some object touchs them in pocket. It is hard to open the flipper and loose many calls by not being able to open it on time. Too heavy!!!

When I first got this phone I was really excited because it is my first, I really have a few things i wish it did or wish it had. - a video recording -the call and call end buttons were not switched -it had bluetooth -it had a louder volume -and maybe its just me, but i think it should have more ringtones and for the camera some of those fun additional background type things for it. after these things, the phone has a very good screen(though i think it could have been slightly larger), a good library, ok games(u might want to download a few though) and a good keyboard. I also do not think that this phone is confusing at all, once you get used to what you have it is all worth it, and i hardly ever have dropped any calls, and have good battery life. The picture quality is great, and it has options for if the day is sunny, cloudy, indoors, night etc. So overall i think this is an exceptional phone and i love the voice dialing and speakerphone. and if you like cameras, this is a must have! Horrible!

This is phone's reception is so slow. The camera is decent and it looks great but the quality is really bad. I don't like this phone that much. Battery died on me after 1yr of use. Bad quality phone over all. Don't buy it. Go with Nokia or Samsung instead!

Garbage

this phone is horrible!!!! everything goes wronge on it! my phone is so messed up that i cant even close it, i have to leave it open! whats the point in having a flip phone?! Im telling everyone straight DO NOT get this phone!!!

I am so disappointed with this phone. I bought it 2-3 years ago from Cingular Wireless and there have been a number of issues. 1) The phone drops calls between 8 - 15 minutes of talk time. I reported to Cingular and was told this was a known problem and the phone should be powered off for a few seconds, every 3 days. 2) The phone automatically connects to the internet about every 20 minutes round the clock all throughout the day and night. I've tried locking the phone, locking access to the Web and when I get my billing statement there are 1 second connect charges all throughout the day, round the clock. Remedy from Cingular: Get another phone or disconnect the internet. I'm no longer under warranty. 3) Ringtones ring out of turn. I have assigned ringtones to specific people in my address book and sometimes a tone assigned to a specific person, rings when another person calls. Remedy from Cingular: Get another phone. I am in the market for a new phone, and while I like Cingular service, I am so disappointed with Motorola right now, I want to avoid getting another one. Although, I've been told that the Razr seems fairly stable--well except for this most recent issue with some of the Razr phones. Less

I am so disappointed with this phone. I fought hard to convince my wife I needed this more expensive model so that I could get the speaker version for work calls, while she got a plain vanilla model (Nokia I think). Well, the speaker phone works ok, but little did I realize until the warranty wore off is the volume of the regular press-to-ear mode fades terribly. If you are not in the quietest environments, don't expect to hear anyone. It's very embarrassing to call someone while driving and have to tell them you cannot talk because you can't hear them over your car (I have an '02 Subaru, so it's not exactly a monster truck show SUNDAY-SUNDAY-SUNDAY level of volume). Cingular wouldn't do anything for me. I had even bought the insurance for it and asked if I could get the much cheaper, plain vanilla model my wife has. Absolutely not, have to get the same model phone (a refurbished one). But Ms. Cingular representative, this other phone is much cheaper and you can actually hear = SORRY, HAS TO BE EXACT SAME PHONE. Argh! Less

The thing that sucks most is you have to dial the person and wait until they pickup before you can press the speaker botton. Half the time they hang up because they can''t hear me and when you get a call it takes forever for the speaker to come up. Save your money. Less
