Did you know your BlackBerry can do double duty as a flash drive? It can, and it’s just as simple as using an actual flash drive. Here's how:
Scroll to and select the “Options” icon.
Scroll to and select “Memory”.
Scroll to Mass Storage Mode Support. Select “On”.
Scroll further to “Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected” and select “Yes”.
That’s it! Your BlackBerry is now set up to function as a flash drive. To use it as such, simply connect your phone to your computer via the USB cable. You will be prompted, “Do you want to activate Mass Storage Mode?”. Select yes. Your BlackBerry will now be available as a flash drive. You can check this by going to Windows Explorer and you will find that your BlackBerry is now listed among the hard drives. How cool is that!
Tips & Warnings
Be aware of the size of the file or document you are placing on your phone. You don’t want to exceed the available memory of your microSD card. In most cases this won’t be an issue, but for large files you may want to check first.
The above steps are a one-time set-up. You do not have to repeat these steps again.
