If you own an Android phone running 2.0 or higher, you are in possession of an extremely powerful device. In addition to all the cool specifications that make geeks gawk, you have HDMI (High Definition Media Interface) capability. That means that anything on your phone, or anything your phone can acquire through the internet, can be displayed on your home theater system. For example, let's say you have friends over and there's nothing good on TV. You can instead watch any YouTube video you want by simply connecting your phone to your TV. Here's how:

  1. 1

First, you need to download an app from the Android Marketplace called "Real HDMI".

  2. 2

Next, you need an HDMI cable. You can purchase such a cable where your bought your phone, or any electronics store.

  3. 3

Connect the cable to the HDMI input on your TV and to your phone's HDMI output.
