This phone has taken such a beating and still works great once i downloaded the ringtunes and games i never wanted to give it up and only did because i switched companies..it far outlasts all the new devices and now that I work for a cell phone company I realize how much amazing this phone is and all samsung phones lets see if the a436 lives up to this one.... best phone ever

just so impressed how long this phone has lasted . Had so many phones that don't even last a year and this one is still working well after four years

Paris Hilton Uses It!

Well probably not anymore, but on her cameo on an episode of the first season Veronica Mars she did. Don't hold it against the phone! But seriously its a pretty good phone, a little dated now. As other users have mentioned it is very durable - I think the only way to break it is with a sludge hammer. Reception is adequate and the battery life is decent. I only have two problems the phone. When it is first powered on the phone book takes a while to initialize. And the vibrate on mine is a little weak. Less

AWESOME

from Yahoo
Pro: BIG screen Con: can only record for like 30 seconds at a time its really cool if u spend more time playing on your phone rather than talking on it

Awesome barebones phone

I've had mine for nearly 2 years, and the only weird thing it does is drop the occasional outgoing call after I dial. Happens in 1/100 calls or so. No big deal. I recommend it to all my customers.

Great Phone

I chose this phone because the reviews were better than the other choices I had. Overall, I have been very pleased with it. I can generally go a week between charges (I am a light user), reception is clear, it is pretty user friendly, and does everything I need in a phone (I didn''t want a MP3, camera, etc). I had trouble hearing someone when I was outside in the wind (the only time I had trouble) and of the dozens of ring tones, I had trouble finding a nice, business like tone. It''s nice that I can received text messages for free, but there is a catch - you have to send text messages back to activate the service and see messages that come from e-mail accounts, which is NOT free, but messages sent from the Roger''s website are free and work fine. How anyone would think that sending a text message from a phone pad is a usuful thing is beyond me. It takes forever to write a simple sentence. I do find that you have to push too many buttons to get to certain features and scroll through the menu options. It is also a bit irritating that you must pick whether to save address book items on the card or the phone. Less
