This Siemens was the first cell phone I owned - came free with a FIDO contract for me, and I've had it for almost 3 years now. Considering that: great find. Like the previous reviews have mentioned, it's pretty basic. But considering its simplistic nature, it does a good job with: - sound clarity - volume - screen clarity - relative ease of use - texting (though there's a bit of a lag depending on how fast you text). - excellent battery life (considering how much I use it I'm not having to constantly charge it) - quite cheap It's also a resilient little bugger; I've dropped it quite a few times over the years, and it had nothing more than a little scrape or two on the side. The downside is that one too many drops and years of constant use later, the vibrate is now on it's dying breaths. As I always keep it on vibe or vibe/ring, it's time for a new phone. Cons: - no camera - limited extra features (games, music, ringtones, etc) - navigating around menus is sometimes long-winded - relatively low screen resolution - seems quite old school nowadays But overall I have no major qualms about this one - it was a good sturdy phone if you're not looking for anything too fancy. Cute little brick-phone design makes it easy to start right away without flipping open either. Less

Usefull and Safe

Hi I agree with the other comments about the phone being easy to use and a good basic design. For tose of us who live in cities that is a big plus (I live in London)- and I even like the colour ! Well done siemens - not the most glitsy phone in the world BUT - easy to use reliable and safe - its a winner for me Cheers N Less

I have not had good experiences with Siemens phones in years past. This phone changes my opinion of Siemens. It is a rugged, simple-to-use, pleasant piece of technology. There is no camera, but I think most people realize by now that if you want a digital camera you should buy one, and not hope a mobile can do as good a job. This phone can roam the world, has GPRS (a sort of superfast way of sending data similar to multiplexing), gives you the ability to record sounds and use them as ringtones, and has a wonderfully simple and fast button for scrolling through your list of phone numbers. As I frenquently lose mobiles, this phone has the added advantage of being cheap. Less

Siemens A65: Bright & Easy

It doesn''t have the bells & whistles that I don''t need: Calendar, Notes etc. (2) Bright, because it''s intelligent, as it has many features that I need: dependable battery (5 hours talk time), rich ringtones, predictive typing (T9), "big letters," time display, fast access, including the Internet etc. (3) Bright, because it has a camera and a flash. Easy: (1) Easy on the pocket, as it is affordable. (2) Easy to navigate and use. This is a phone beyond entry level. Less
