Agree with indestructible

I have owned 2 of these phones for 6 years now. My daughter went through 3 other phones in one year. She now has one of our T637s and it has lasted over a year. Even though she thinks its "uncool" it has remained just as functional as when we first got it.

Indestructible

I've had this phone for over 4 years now. It's completely worth it's value and I'm almost reluctant to get a new one! I drop it on concrete regularly, and it's just indestructible! The reception is phenomenal. The only thing that's faded with time is the battery life, which still outlasts Motorola phones! It has everything I need without overly fancy things, though it does have Internet and a camera. It's going to be hard finding a replacement. Everything nowadays focuses on music, camera, Internet and forgets about what's important: talking! Less

This was my first cell phone. It worked like it should. It has excellent blue-tooth linkage capability. I still use it when I need to reset my SIM card. (Sometimes AT&T screws with my SIM card and I cannot use it on my Palm Treo. I pop the SIM card into this phone and the cell towers think I've got a generic phone instead of a smartphone. Then, AT&T lets up on me and I can pop my SIM card back into my Treo.) The only problem with this phone is that I needed an upgrade to replace my aging, rotting brain. It's only a phone. The Treo, a smartphone, has all kinds of PDA like qualities that help me remember where I work and in what country I wake up in. (My job is _very_ international.) Less

Sony Ericsson T637

I've had this phone for almost 8 months, after which I bought a Motorola SLVR L7 (I like single unit phones rather than sliders or flip-phones). The SLVR is OK, but since I don't use the phone as an internet connector and I don't text-message so much, I went back to the T637. Its hard (took a few falls as well as dips in the water, "and kept on ticking"), reliable (always turned on and got the call through almost always), fair battery life (approximatel 3-5 days) and small enough to fit anywere (even inside my wallet). Its such a reliable phone that I'm thinking of upgrading to a similar one with a better camera (3-4MP?), but within the Sony Ericsson line. Less

not so great

This phone is average at best. I have had this model for almost two years now and the battery life has been going downhill since I got it. Many of the buttons on my phone have stopped working and often times it will randomly hang up on whoever I am speaking to. The text message memory is terrible as is the picture memory. Part of the screen has gone black. The only good thing I can say about it is that it is still in working condition even though I have dropped it many times. Also I have never been able to get it to play real music tones. Less

Decent phone, not loud enough ring

I like mine, after having it for over a year, but there are a few issues. The ring is way, way, way too quiet; if there's any background noise I can't hear it. The battery life is slightly worse than crap. The battery slide is too loose, and if it opens, the SIM almost always gets dislodged. On the pl...More

The battery life is slightly worse than crap. The battery slide is too loose, and if it opens, the SIM almost always gets dislodged. On the plus side, it synchs well with my Mac, messaging is decent, and the camera is passable for taking pictures to put in my address book. Less
