Run Around Tech

Well designed, decent sound

from Run Around Tech
The JBL Clip+ is an incredibly well designed Bluetooth speaker that will go where you go, regardless of the environment. The sound can be muddy at louder volumes, but overall sounds nice, considering the price... Full review
Sound Vision Review

Teeny speaker for people on the go

from Sound Vision Review

Sonically the Clip performs just as expected. The volume can certainly be turned up surprisingly loud, but it's hardly worth it at the highest volumes as the sound becomes muddy with a lot of added background noise.

It´s better to play music at low and medium levels. The bass is understandably weak, and the treble slightly harsh/edgy, but it is hardly surprising considering the conditions. By and large, the sound is quite inoffensive, which may be considered as fully acceptable for the size. The JBL Clip is hardly the first choice for a home party, but all the better for yo... NDTV

The new-age boombox

from NDTV
At just $50, the JBL Clip delivers on almost all aspects that we look for in an ultraportable Bluetooth speaker: It's inexpensive, small and sounds great. It represents a big improvement over the built-in speakers found on mobile devices and laptops, and doesn't add much weight to your burden. While the battery life is limited, I can overlook that in return for getting better sound anywhere I go... Full review

Most standout feature is inclusion of a carabiner clip

from iTechTriad
While there are higher quality, and pricier, alternatives on the market, the simple fact that the speaker retails at only $50 makes this an easy sell. The JBL Clip sounds great, is well built, and is priced well below wireless speakers that sound only marginally better. A definitive recommend... Full review

Clever design and really good sounds for its size

from The Gadgeteer
The JBL Clip speaker can be a handy, easy-to-use speaker for most personal activities. The Carabiner clip alone makes it worth considering. Add to that the powerful, clean audio and rugged build quality and you have a speaker that can do just about anything–as long as it doesn’t rain... Full review

If you’re in the market for a wireless bluetooth speaker, check out the Clip. For active outdoor people, it doesn’t get much better than this and will surely service all of your needs. I’m expecting to find more and more ways to use this in the future, but right now it’s perfect to pack for a day hike, fishing and I can imagine any kind or lake or boating event. Clip it on & go

from G Style Magazine
At such a low price point, the JBL Clip gives you a collective of value. It has nice sound, its rugged and gives you gives you the choice of either going wireless or wired. As stated the sound could be a bit better taking in bass and handling the slight distortion on some intense tracks but you get what you pay for... Full review
Sound Guys

Great sound for the size and price

from Sound Guys

The JBL Clip does indeed stand up to the reputation that JBL has built up from great sound in a small size at a small price. Just make sure to keep your expectations reasonable — a speaker this size is never going to measure favorably against a good larger speaker, but we really shouldn’t expect them to.

For $49.95, the JBL Clip beats out the similarly sized and priced Logitech x100 in every aspect. It sounds better, it’s ever-so-slightly smaller, and the built in clip and 3.5 mm cable just make it an all-around more useful device. For the price, it’s a no... Full review
