TechGearLab

Failed to stand out from the rest of the pack

from TechGearLab

It has a slightly above average set of smart and fitness features, is relatively convenient to use, and has a solid display, but we would still recommend plenty of other smartwatches over this one, unless you are set on the Fossil aesthetic.

Firstpost

Succeeds where plenty of its peers have failed

from Firstpost

This is by no means cheap, but for its aesthetics and performance, the cost seems fair. It looks very good, performs well and is incredibly sturdy. It could be argued that a larger battery would have made it a must-have wearable, but sadly, that’s not the case.

TrustedReviews

An attractive, versatile watch that's held back by an ageing processor

from TrustedReviews

The Fossil Q Explorist HR fixes the biggest shortcomings that every one of its predecessors has brought to the table. This is primarily through delivering on the promise of all-day battery, but also with the addition of new technologies that make it a far more competitive proposition in the smartwatch space.

Beautiful design, underwhelming performance

from Expert Reviews

The Fossil Q Explorist has all the features you could ask for, but it’s let down by a slow, dated processor. With the Q Explorist’s chipset now more than two years old, it’s hardly a surprise that it can’t compete with the latest devices from Apple and Samsung.

One of the best looking Wear smartwatches gets a big features bump

from Wareable

The Fossil Explorist HR does improve on the Explorist in the sense that it offers more of the Wear experience you get on other smartwatches. By that we mean, added sports tracking features and Google Pay support. Having payments is great and something we've asked for a while, but the heart rate monitor and GPS additions don't seem to work brilliantly.

TechRadar

Fossil's techiest watch ever

from TechRadar

Fossil's latest watch looks great and comes packed full of tech as well. It's not the most advanced smartwatch in the world, but considering its price you'd be hard pressed to go wrong with this Wear OS device.

Perhaps the best looking smartwatch

It includes just about everything you could want in a smartwatch; NFC circuitry for use with Google Pay, a heart-rate monitor, a rotating crown for a unique (but hardly obligatory) way to interact with Wear OS, an assortment of beautiful built-in watch-face options, and though I’d prefer wirele...More
