NDTV

Offers good features and is quite accurate when it comes to tracking

from NDTV

If you are looking for a good smartwatch to track your fitness, the Honor Watch Magic will do that well. However, if you are looking for customisibility and app support on a wearable, then that is one area where the Honor Watch Magic is a little restricted.

Generous style and substance, except it can’t track climbing

from News18

Apart from the fact that it can’t tell the difference between climbing the stairs or taking a luxurious elevator, there really isn’t much wrong with the Honor Watch Magic. It has the style and the substance to go with a rather interesting price tag. The Honor Watch Magic really has no alternatives in this price range.

Features galore make this one to consider

from Stuff

There’s a lot to like about the Honor Watch Magic. It offers all of the features you would expect at this price, and more. The menu is simple to navigate and there are enough straps for you to make the watch your own.

Fancy smart wearable that excels as fitness band

Honor's first smartwatch is just a mini Huawei Watch GT

from Tech Advisor

It's impossible to avoid comparing the Honor Watch to the Huawei Watch GT, but it's not a comparison that does Honor many favours. It's impossible to avoid comparing the Honor Watch to the Huawei Watch GT, but it's not a comparison that does Honor many favours. Unless you particularly love one of the new colours or the smaller size, it'll be hard not to justify spending a little more for double the battery. It's an especially tricky sell when both devices come with serious restrictions thanks to the choice to run Lite OS. Still, it will appeal to those looking for an attractive fitness tracker with basic smartwatch features that will last for a week or more.

TechRadar

Like a Huawei Watch GT, but also not

from TechRadar

Its similarities to the Watch GT are inescapable, and the issue may be that it's not as good as it's only a touch cheaper than Huawei's watch. For a particular user that doesn't want top-end specs and instead wants long battery life in an attractive timepiece with the odd bit of fitness tracking the Honor Watch may be a great idea.

Like the Watch GT, the Honor Watch Magic is neither a full smartwatch with Google’s Wear OS, or a hybrid — it’s more closely related to a fitness tracker. That it puts these features inside a more traditional watch design than a fitness band makes it tempting, and there’s no doubt the Watch Magic’s style and comfort makes it wearable everyday. It’s also swim-proof and comes with specific stroke tracking functionality, plus it has built-in GPS, making it versatile for fitness fans too.

Fitness-focused yet limited

from TrustedReviews

While I’m yet to fully review the device, at this point it appears that it will suffer the same issues as its Huawei-branded counterpart. The lack of apps is a shame, as are missing features such as music controls and mobile payments. Still, if you want a good-looking smartwatch purely for fitness tracking, it could be a good choice.
