Handy phone

I love the clip and the flash light. It is a very good cute phone. Battery, most battery start acting up after a year or two. The only problem is that it lags if you use it continuesly for few minutes. This is my cute little phone, used for 5 years and it didn't say ouch.

Good phone. Some issues.

Bought this phone as my first pay and go phone from Telus. The phone always had great signal and call quality. Used this phone alot for text messaging and checking my webmail and Instant messaging services. packed with features and in such a sharp looking small phone. I did run into some problems with this phone where i wouldn't receive some text messages and ended up having to call Telus at least 4 times to have them fix the problem. Not sure if it was a network issue or the phone itself but it was frustrating. Other issue was the battery life. After about 6 months I noticed that battery life wasn't that great when you had the backlighting turned on. So I turned it off and it improved alot. The drawback is trying to see your caller ID or reading/composing a text message in the dark while your in your car. Not cool. And the flashlight function may sound cool on the packaging, but is pretty much useless and a big battery killer. I did enjoy this phone while I had it and before upgrading to my LG540 and ended up transfering it over to my wife who is still using it. Less

the perfect phone

I've had this phone for 4yrs. Having battery trouble & find myself shopping for a new phone but I can't find anything that even comes close to the features and dependability of this phone. I miss my kyocera!
what a smart phone!! very sturdy, and the reception is great! Awesome

Overall...GREAT !

Simple to use. All the features of much more expensive phones. Durable, and I am tough on the things day to day.

Handy not always Dandy

I''ve had this phone for almost 2yrs. and over all its been a good phone. It has an easy to read screen,a Calculator, tip Calculator, voice dial (sometimes a little hard for the phone to understand what you said.), games, and yes the ever so talked about handy flash light. As I said not so Dandy.... I found that the keypad rubbed of fast and with moderate use,not a fan of the open face phone too easy to hit buttons and not know, some features suck up power. Note: The belt clip that comes with it makes a great phone stand as well. (No Joke!!) Less

STAY LONG AWAY FROM THIS PHONE !

THIS IS THE WORST PHONE I EVER HAD ! As a 15 years old student, I don''t have much money for a cellphone. So, I chosed a Kyocera BLADE KE424C with Telus Pay & Talk for 50$ (with 150$ rebate) and even for 50$, this is NOT a good phone. Bad antenna reception, the battery life, features (except for the flashlight, witch I like), ringtones not loud, etc... The next phone I will but is an Audiovox 8910 from Virgin Mobile. Less

Well, it survived a year... great but crap at the same time

Like the title and score says, dont know what to say about this thing. Pluses are that it has aflashlight (great for those latenight breakdowns in the car), Tetris (what other phone has Tetris?!?), and gets great reception. Minuses are everything else. Like the title and score says, dont know what to say about this thing. Pluses are that it has aflashlight (great for those latenight breakdowns in the car), Tetris (what other phone has Tetris?!?), and gets great reception. Minuses are everything else. Keys barely press anymore after a year, the screen gets scratched easy, overall cheap build quality, a battery prone to blowing up (thanks Kyocera for rushing me a new one...), the speakers is fuzzy. However, I am the only one of all my friends and roomates to get reception where I live, and we''re all with Telus and live in a cement sublevel. 1X ready. Overall I would not recommend it for a 2yr contract as it just won''t last. However, great reception for the year I had it, and the flashlight and Tetris kept me happy enough to disregard the shoddy quality and ugly-as-sin looks:) Probably the best free phone out there. Really, it's a reliable, solid cell phone. The only reason I finally turfed this phone was because the speaker broke when something was jammed into the mouthbox area. I'm not too impressed with how easily the speaker broke, but generally speaking, no complaints. While it worked, the sound was excellent and reliable; the features were more than adequate. And I should also mention, the phone survived a few serious falls and bangs before it became immobilized by the speaker bust. Less

Inherent battery problems otherwise...

Features are great. Can't assign number type until more than one number is entered for a contact. The battery would drain very quickly with talktime or text messaging. Battery life would come back up after finishing talk or text. Use it one more time then the phone would die. Would be satisfied to...More
Features are great. Can't assign number type until more than one number is entered for a contact. The battery would drain very quickly with talktime or text messaging. Battery life would come back up after finishing talk or text. Use it one more time then the phone would die. Would be satisfied totally if it weren't for the battery problem. Also, cheap paint on keypad and mediocre reception. Less
