I have had my LG 535 for a little over 2 years now, and have no problems what so ever with it, the battery is just starting to die now, and I'm not sure about the MP3 use, since that is not why I bought the phone. I have had no problems with connecting even when I went to California, I phoned my kids in Canada, and it was crystal clear, better than my husbands Mike phone. Love the Voice activation when I am driving, don't have to take my eyes off the road. All in all its been a good little phone, and when it comes time to renew my plane, I can't see me changing. Less

not the best

I charged it the day I got home (from almost completely uncharged) and have been running on 3 bars battery life ever since this morning. Can't wait for my SD card to arrive either, according to most of the other 535 lovers, it enhances the phone even more...and I sprung for the 1GB card! I admit, the OK button is a bit small-ish...but like another reviewer posted: If you're looking for a PHONE first, with a lot of nice features to play with while you're waiting in the dentist office, this is the phone you want. A bit bulky, but fits easily into the jeans pocket. While comparing it to other sliders, it's not that bad...you want thin? Go shell out WAY too much for the Razr, Slvr, L6, etc. HUGE screen...puts my TV to shame (well, not quite, but you get the point). Got it on sale..$30 on a 2-year contract...declined the $80 extended service plan. I treat my gadgets like gold, they're never broken! Less

the phone is good

the phone is ok for ppl who dont mind the bulkyness. its a very good phone overall but i hate the fact that you have to buy the mini sd card and the headphones for it. its kinda a waste of money and hardly anything comes with it. there was no car power adapter, power on/ off volume control and games on the phone.

easy to use, but not many options.

camera decent, good mic and voice dialing is easy to setup with easy software. (unlike ericson and motorolla in my experience). not many options choices in menus. sd card slot is nice. No games loaded on mine tho bummer :( 7/10

arggggg.... worst phone EVER

K... When it shuts because there is NO battery life left... you have to charge it for over 10min for it to turn on again. It also doesn't charge when you are on the phone... so there's no use being connected to the wall and talking on it. Also when I want to listen to a ringtone... and I press end... it will be on the mainscreen STILL playing the song. So I have to take the battery out to make it stop. It also just sorta restarts itself sometimes... basically I wish I didn't spend over 400$ on this crap phone. - Jacenta Less

awesome phone

Fantastic phone, haven't come across any problems other than the fact the flash doesn't seem to want to go off at the same time the picture is taken. Besides that, this is an amazing phone.

This phone isn't for dummies!

My last phone was the Kyocera Blade phone and I have to say it was amazing! Into it's 3rd year the battery life finally started to give but let's face it, 3 years is a LONG time for a cell! My last phone was the Kyocera Blade phone and I have to say it was amazing! Into it's 3rd year the battery life finally started to give but let's face it, 3 years is a LONG time for a cell! With that said, I am not the type to buy the newest phone as soon as they come out and I'm not even all that caught up on most technology. I am willing to drop a few hundred bucks on a quality phone and I'm undecided if the LG 535 has been worth my hard -earned cash. Admittedly, I am slightly at fault for not doing a little more research but I did not realize that standard headphones could not be used with this phone and that absolutely NO accessories come with it! So, in addition to dropping a few hundred on the phone, I racked up another $100 on the headphones and the memory card and reader. I love all the tools of the phone but agree that it's ridiculous that you cannot use MP3s as ringtones...I also am not pleased with the battery life, it's mediocre at best. I also don't like that it's IMPOSSIBLE to get actual instructions/information on how to use the memory card/reader..beware: if your file has too long of a filename, you're nto going to get to hear it and your wasting space on your memory card. So the phone is a little bitchy but it looks cool and I love the slider part and it's weight isn't an issue for me nor is the size, I mean come on...it's not like I'm carrying around a child here, it's a cell phone! Grrrrr

two weeks in, and it shuts off when I try to dial a number.then it won't turn back on for 1/2 hour. with a full charge.
