It was the best phone with moreof the features that our local cell phone carrier, "rinkey_dink.c.m" can provide (text messageing just arrived in rural Iowa!). It has served well with one exception: the charger connection is hinky and it does not always charge or keep charging when connected. Oh, I just checked after reading some of the comments and one of the hinges has cracked. Less

Best no-frills flip phone

I've used this phone for 2 years now, and it hasn't failed me so far. It's easy to use, light & portable. I've dropped it and yanked it open several times, and it has survived my abuse well. I prefer this phone than the newer ultra-thin, ultra-light that's coming out in the market - thought they all look a little flimsy.

Don''t get this phone!

I''ve had the phone for less than a year. The battery life stinks and the flip is very loose now on this Motorola T731c, which is very annoying. I''m going to switch to another type of phone, maybe a Nokia. Something a little sturdier.

Hope it''s GOOD!

I just bid on ebay for a Motorola T731 and i hope to god it works. I am still the highest bidder. Anyway, i just came to check some reviews and um... there not that great. Cause rite now i have a terrible phone that always blacks out and frezzes up. IT SUCKS! I hope this phone has at least all nines. Less

Phone is a lemon

My wife and I had this phone. In the middle of calls the phone would go black and the phone would shut down. The hinges were cracked from normal use until they finally broke rendering the phone useless. Do not buy this phone it''s bad news.

Don''t Buy-Stay Away

I have been using this phone for about 2 years. My first T731C got to the point that it would not charge. This was not a battery issue, but a phone issue. I had insurance on the phone so I turned it in. I received a replacement T731C, and it sucks even more. I have had it less than 6 months and it will not charge. I have bought several chargers thinking that was the problem but no go. I took it in to a cell store and had it checked out. It was the phone. It also blacks out and drops signal for no reason. The battery life also sucks. Less

should be recalled!

My first T731 had problems within the warranty period. The casing on the "flip" part cracked. Motorola sent back "user abuse" and though I am a 41 year old adult who does NOT abuse my phone I was left with having to purchase another T731. Less than a year later the "flip" is getting very loose and US Cellular recommended sending it in before "it broke" so it might be warranted. I, too will be looking for a different brand next time! This phone blows!!!

When charged, the battery meter goes from full to dead, but it''s just faking you out because it has pleanty of juice. The reception is fairly good. It feels nice in the hand at least. As far as I''m concerned, this thing could feel like Pam Anderson in my hands and I''d still hate it. I have the good mind to go to the CEO of Motorola and shove this phone where the sun don''t shine. Avoid this phone, kids! Less
